About the Journal

Journal of Islamic Finance, Accounting and Development (JIFAD) publishes empirical and conceptual research on how Islamic financial and accounting practices shape socio-economic development. The journal is concerned with institutions where financial management carries a normative mandate Islamic banks and cooperatives, zakat and waqf bodies, pesantren, foundations, and public agencies operating under Islamic economic principles.

JIFAD welcomes work that connects technical questions of finance and accounting to their developmental consequences: poverty reduction, financial inclusion, institutional accountability, and community welfare.
